One of the many things we love about camping is being able to see all kinds of different places without staying in a hotel (and having to go somewhere to see and enjoy everything about the destination). Instead, with camping, you can literally BE in nature! In Washington State there are many different places to go visit and stay, but we find that the greatest place to camp is the campground in Olympic National Park.
There are 88 sites to choose from when you stay at their campground (although there are many different campgrounds in the state park). This specific campground is located in the old growth forest along the river.
Hiking is a blast here, just look at that scenery of the Olympic National Forest! There are a plethora of hiking trails to choose from when going into this specific national forest. There are many maps for specific places that are fun for the whole family. The Heart O’ the Hills Campground is a great place for those of you who love treasure hunts (take a look at their website for more details).
If you enjoy the outdoors and like the more uncivilized camping, this place is for you. There isn’t water or electrical hookups on these campsites, but that doesn’t mean it’s not the perfect place to stay. You’ll get the full camping experience and have a blast adventuring in the forest.
When looking for an RV travel destination, you want to consider the length of the campsites, and these sites are an average of 21 feet.
Whether you’re taking a new RV out for the very first time, or you’ve been camping for years, this is a great place to come and relax. The scenery alone will satisfy your RV lifestyle and allow you to enjoy it all the more. If you have any questions about RVing or the new RVs we have for sale, please contact us today. We hope you have a great time staying in the beautiful Olympic National Forest!
